Creates entities using an external source file.

*createentitiesfromsource <option1>=<value1> <option2>=<value2> ... <optionN>=<valueN>

Description

Creates entities using an external source file.

Inputs

entitytype=<value>
The type of entity to create. Currently only supported for beamsects.
source=<file>
The path and file name to the source file.

Examples

Create beam sections using a csv file:

*createentitiesfromsource entitytype=beamsects source=C:/temp/beam_section.csv

Errors

Incorrect usage results in a Tcl error. To detect errors, you can use the catch command:
if { [ catch {command_name...} ] } {
   # Handle error
}
