*tableexport

Exports data from a table to a file.

Syntax

*tableexport name filename delimiter

Exports data from a table to a file.

name: The name of the table to export.
filename: The full path and filename of the file to write.
delimiter: The character or string to use as the delimiter. The value must be enclosed in quotes. If not specified, the default is a comma (CSV).

To write out table1 with commas as the separator.

*tableexport table1 C:/table1.txt ","

*tableexport table1 C:/table1.txt

To write out table1 with ABC as the separator.

*tableexport table1 C:/table1.txt "ABC"

Incorrect usage results in a Tcl error. To detect errors, you can use the catch command:

if { [ catch {command_name...} ] } {
   # Handle error
}
